Due to COVID, we are all online this semester which is something new for a lot of us. I have taken online classes before but usually 1 or 2 at a time… not all 5. One might think that this makes all the classes easy, and that you can breeze through the semester. This is not the case entirely. There are some things you must do to succeed in online classes. First, STAY ORGANIZED. It is easy to be reminded of upcoming assignments when you are in class a couple times a week and seeing students around campus. Having class once a week, in a virtual way, means that you and only you can be responsible for keeping track of what is due that day, what must be worked on, and what is coming up. Next, I would advise everyone to create a dedicated space for Zooming and doing homework. If you do work in your bed or on your couch, it can be easy to get sucked into Netflix and not be productive. Making a space dedicated to schoolwork will help you focus on that work. My last piece of advice is to get outside at least once a day and take a break. It is nice to take a walk outside or watch a TV show to get your mind off everything. This is new for all of us, but we can get through it and these are my tips to help make this easier.
