I have never been to the west coast before so all I’ve ever known are below freezing temperatures and biting winds that equal winter. No one ever told me that “winter” in LA is pretty much overcast skies. What is even more confusing is how my body has somehow adapted from 2 years of Syracuse, below freezing winters to California’s 60-degree winter and still feel cold out here. It’s amazing to see people pulling out scarves, boots, and gloves for weather I used to put on a sweatshirt for. You never have to check the forecast or bundle up in layers not that it matters much when I work inside 75% of the time. For some reason people in LA who should be used to heat abuse their air-conditioning to the point the point that you freeze inside and burn outside it’s a novel experience.
