ORANGE HANDS AND CURRENT PLANS
By Kelsey Coughlin
Hey, Hi, Hello. I write to you from west-coast, best-coast with orange pigmented hands. No, my hands have nothing to with my time out here in Los Angeles; they’re just orange from all the carrots I eat. At least I can say that they’re California carrots, and like everything else out here, they’re fresher, brighter and just plain better.
So far, life out here in Cali-land has been too kind to me. I’ve been able to meet so many influential people in the entertainment industry all while simultaneously getting a tan. The SULA program has connected me with people whose career paths I strive to follow. It’s also opened my I-forgot-my-sunglasses-squinty-eyes to world of new job fields that I had previously never known about.
I’ll be leaving L.A. more confident in my ability to succeed in this world and more satisfied with the person that I’m becoming. My experiences this semester have given me a clearer direction to follow to reach both my personal and professional goals. So buckle up, friends, it’s just getting started!
