Steve currently serves as a strategic advisor to high growth companies and a mentor to multiple start-ups. He is also an Adjunct Professor for the Boston University Masters in Media Ventures program teaching a graduate course entitled Multi-Platform Entertainment Marketing.
From 2011-2015, Steve was Chief Operating Officer/Chief Revenue Officer for Zazoom Media Group where he developed the corporate strategy and managed all facets of revenue, multi-platform distribution, marketing, partner relations and social media. Earlier in his career Steve was the VP, Content Strategy & Business Affairs for venture-backed GoTV Networks, at the time the premiere U.S. mobile media network. He has also developed monetization and go-to market strategies for companies such as Sony Interactive, The Improvisation, Engage Games Online and TriStar Pictures as well as produced the first (and only) eSportsWorld Conference. His corporate experience includes tenures at MGM Worldwide Television and Universal (MCA) TV.
Steve writes the What If… blog about today’s multi-platform world. He is also a board member of the Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship in the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University.
