My time here at SULA has been everything I hoped for and more. The show tapings, guest speakers, and celebrity sightings alone have been enough to satisfy my LA cravings. The main subjects of SULA, however, are the classes and the internships. I’ve been working hard year after year to get my foot in the door at a Hollywood company. SULA helped me reach the top of the mountain that I built for myself. And, as it turns out, I had to use both feet. I currently have two internships doing two different things, allowing me to learn as much as I can about the industry. One of the internships is in development, where I work on TV pitches and sizzle reels. The other is in management, where I assist on desks and with writing script coverage. Having two internships is intense and time consuming, but it allows me to explore more areas of the industry that I otherwise wouldn’t have had experience with. Despite working four full days a week along with a full class schedule, I still find time to have fun and experience all LA has to offer.
