Clarity & Confusion
By Isha Damle
This semester in LA has given me a lot of clarity but also kind of confused me. Being here and getting a first-hand view of what the film industry is like through my internship has prepared me for what the general common processes of starting out are. I would’ve never had any grasp of assistant culture without this semester, so for that I am super grateful and SULA has done such a great job of guiding us through what to expect post-grad through the variety of experiences we’ve been provided with. This semester has been a great crash course, and I’m now ready and comfortable with moving out here after I graduate in May. I am however, unsure of what I want to do within the entertainment industry- I’ve learned that there are so many amazing, intriguing aspects of it and if I could, I’d do it all. But since I can’t, I’m grateful that SULA has provided us the opportunity to experience as many different things as we can so that we find ourselves on the track that’s right for us. Shout out to Robin, Lauren, and the entire SULA staff/faculty for all the hard work they put into making our experience amazing!
