My experience thus far in Los Angeles can be summed up best in one word: activities. Despite being born and raised in California as a lover of activities, I have never been more immersed in the word than I have this semester. I spent my fall semester interning in NYC without taking classes, yet somehow I have found myself out adventuring and getting out into the community so much more in LA, despite interning and taking classes. Maybe it’s the sunshine that calls me out of bed every morning and says “Maddy, you cannot stay inside today!” Or possibly it’s the long hours in the office and the classroom that make me conscious of utilizing the limited activity hours that I do have available? It could be my fellow classmates that are eager to explore a new city and state that motivate me to explore with them. From Malibu to Huntington, In-n-out to farmers markets, red carpets to the Venice Beach Boardwalk, there has been no shortage of good times in my shortage of free time. Whatever the inspiration, I could not ask for a better activity city.
